3D Printing Thao Dien & District 2 HCMC | Custom Parts - 3DMaker

3DMaker runs an industrial 3D printing workshop in Thu Duc, about 7 km from Thao Dien — roughly 15–20 minutes by car outside peak hours. Making to order since 2014, more than 15,000 orders delivered: prototypes, jigs, architectural models, display pieces and brand mascots, manufactured from your file or drawing.

Close enough to visit, which changes what you can do. Drop off a part, see a material sample, or approve a small test print in person before committing to the full run — and skip the most common failure in remote orders: finding out on delivery day that the finish is not what you pictured.

Why proximity actually matters

For a simple bracket it does not. For anything where finish, colour or the feel of the part is part of the decision, it does — because approving a photo is not the same as holding the object.

Honest about the distance

Thao Dien is in District 2; the main 3DMaker workshop is in Hiep Binh, Thu Duc. That is a real 7 km, not "around the corner" — plan 15–20 minutes by car, more in rush hour. If a trip is not worth it for your job, we courier within the city, usually next day. Most orders never need a visit at all.

What Thao Dien clients order

Architecture and interiors

Massing models, façade sections, development models and detail pieces at a scale laser cutting cannot reach. Printed in sections, assembled and finished to a colour reference.

Urban development architectural scale model at 1:100 printed in 3D

Urban development model at 1:100 — road levels, landscaping and blocks printed separately, then assembled.

High-end villa architectural model produced by 3D printing

Villa model: roof lifts off so the internal layout can be shown during a pitch.

High-rise apartment building architectural model 3D printed for a developer

High-rise model for a developer sales gallery — balcony detail at this scale is where printing beats hand-building.

Agencies, studios and brand teams

Packaging mockups for pitching, scale replicas for photography, event mascots and booth pieces. A common pattern: print a small version first to approve the form, then produce the full-size piece.

Large 3D printed Medusa sculpture before painting and finishing

Before: raw printed sections, bonded and filled, waiting for primer.

Finished 3D printed Medusa sculpture with metallic airbrush paint for a venue installation

After: airbrushed metallic finish. Installed as a DJ booth centrepiece at a club in Ho Chi Minh City.

Product startups and engineers

Functional prototypes, enclosures, jigs and fixtures for a small line, and parts that have to survive testing rather than sit in a presentation.

Footwear sole prototype 3D printed in resin SLA for a product design team

Footwear prototype in resin SLA — the kind of appearance model worth approving in person.

Technical device housing 3D printed in resin SLA with mounting features

Device housing with mounting bosses printed in place — fit checked before any tooling is committed.

Individuals

Custom pieces, a replacement part for something discontinued, a sculpted model brought in as a file. There is no minimum order — a single part is a normal job.

How it works

Email the file to lienhe@3dmaker.vn or message on Zalo. 3DMaker replies with process, price and lead time, usually the same working day. Approve, and it goes on a machine. Collect at the Thu Duc workshop, or we courier to Thao Dien.

No file yet? Send dimensions, a photo or a sketch. If the object already exists but there is no drawing, 3DMaker can scan it and rebuild the geometry.

Send your file or book a visit

Tell 3DMaker what the part is for and you get the right process, not the most expensive one. Visiting the workshop? Message first so a technician is free when you arrive.
